So I'm upset about this thing called a "cupcake push pop". You can see one from this Lincoln, NE cupcake bakery. I think it's a waste of plastic. You'd use that container once and probably throw it away. So I'm boycotting that bakery until they get rid of push pops. I told them my plan and their response was, "But they're recyclable!" Unfortunately, the photo above is what usually becomes of recyclable plastic. It would be better not to have used all that plastic in the first place. The stuff takes up space when thrown out, takes resources to produce, and uses energy to create or recycle. It's just bad for the environment. Now, I'm not saying don't use plastics; I'm just saying don't use so much plastics.

* It should be noted that I actually have never been to the cupcake bakery which I'm boycotting. Still, I don't plan on going until they rid themselves of push pops.

This photo is some of the aftermath of the Lincoln Marathon/Half-Marathon. Why didn't the organizers set out more recycling bins?
